Had lunch today at Shaws Bay Hotel, there were three of us and we each ordered two entrees plus a share plate of potato scallops. Absolutely stunning food, every dish was superb and we did it great justice. The entire hotel is a joy to visit, it is beautifully designed, has beautiful decor and is beautifully in sync with its location. Full compliments to the magic makers in the kitchen, the friendly courteous and helpful servers and everyone who had anything to do with creating such a lovely place for visitors and locals alike. The menu is extensive and invites us back to try more delicious dishes. Thank you Shaw's Bay, well and truly a cut above..😊😊👏👏

🥳 CONGRATULATIONS on your new look - very classy but still inviting to the everyday Joe blow like us . We waited a few months to let any teething problems be ironed out, which can be expected for any new business or in this case a renovated established business. Last night 6th December 2025 we attended with a group work Christmas party and 😱 we were shocked how fast our meals came out considering the place was JAMMED packed ❤️🏆🥳 thank you. My husband and I absolutely loved our meals , the prices are pretty much the norm these days for dining out. If you want to whinge about the prices then maybe it's not for you but we will definitely be going back , granted not every week but YES for special occasions etc. What people need to realise we are no longer in 1975 it's 2025 and nothing's cheap anymore. We absolutely loved the ease of ordering our meals with the mobile ordering station that was always manned by friendly efficient staff. We loved our meals ( see my photos) and omg I absolutely loved the vegetarian hummus and pumpkin and the eggplant schnitzel was so amazing if you didn't know it was egg plant you would think it was a chicken schnitzel in fact party guests at our table regretted not ordering the schnitzel I got until we explained this isn't chicken it's egg plant the guest was 😱❤️ Glorious location over looking Shaw's Bay ❤️❤️ a little sandy beach pit is on Shaw's Bay hotel property so guests can walk to the beach sand of Shaw's bay ❤️ This place was so packed for Christmas parties etc but it was a clean happy safe place and lots of Friendly's security guards around. This is the classiest hotel in Ballina for a nice place to dine and the views. Whilst we absolutely loved every meal and dessert we had there, please management turn the music down a few decibels we all had to YELL at each other to talk last night and no we aren't prudes the music was great but too loud to speak to friends at the party.We weren't the only ones making that comment apart

Beautiful atmosphere with the renovations, they’ve done a fantastic job. Food was excellent, everything looked amazing but stuck with the classic scotch fillet. Upgraded to the sweet potato fries which were amazing, perfectly salted. Along with the steak, the mushroom sauce was so delicious.

We had dinner and it was delicious. The pub has certainly changed a lot over the years. Great spot to have a cold one and enjoy good food.

Great welcoming look & feel, in an equally lovely ballina waterfront location. Decided to share entrees, we enjoyed the salt & pepper calamari, chicken wings, warmed olives, garlic bread & Prawn roll. All were delicious & filling. Indulged in the streamed ginger & date pudding with caramel icecream. It was amazing 😋 Also loved finding a low alcohol limoncello mint spritz which was very drinkable & worked well with the food. Definitely a great place to enjoy good food, drink, company & a pleasant view.

We had a lovely dinner at the Hotel last night. The parmigiana was delicious, the chicken was so tender. The renovations are fabulous, the young waiter was so friendly, and very knowledgeable about the food and the hotel. He is a credit to your establishment.

This place is a vibe! Great food, excellent customer service by young Tommy. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of different areas to suit families, sports fans and those traveling with kids or doggos. There is a fantastic beer garden that sits just above a private beach. Seriously... You could not find a better place for a beer or a sundowner!!
